Chapter 14

Love, Slipping Away -The Intruder-

Love, Slipping Away

-The Intruder-

Where, Oh Where!

Days came and days went

and my love has not sent

a message as to why

he’s gone, and I try not to cry

We had been talking day to day

with much exchange of love to say

to speak of who we were

who we are as changed quite far

He to speak of secret things and so

tell of things gone he thought I should know

each a gift for knowing slow

As grow closer in our ways

finding common things with whom we’ve prayed

to make solid our lives and days

Then, sudden, all to stop

Was he injured, I hope not!”

I worried, could not stop

A day became a week

I to message him to seek

what the problem, what accident freak

What had I done to make him leave

had he been stolen, me to grieve

Where, Oh Where? Him I need

I to despair of ever finding

another with close soul aligning

where our lives could gain refining

Yet he was not here

and I to fear he would never be near

to touch, be close, hold dear

Lonely, Lonely

There were men, sure

most to fill their need, no more

to leave me wanting, wanting more

or laying a-bed feeling sore

My past was filled with men that brave

but not of courage enough to save

spend a life with, man to have

most no more than callow calves

I turned my view to men who knew

more of life as had been through

yet even here, were troubled souls

no life reach left within their goals

Then, here upon a social page

came a fellow with poems saved

for those to see and just may rave

whose minds were wanting visions lave

I to see in him something new

his image showed a man yet blue

it seemed he too was wading through

a list of those not ever true

He the one, one to reach to

hopeful I was love dreams come true

with a man to speak in heartfelt words

ones that didn’t ask the absurd

I took a chance, and so did he

to chat-a-chat with each quite free

and true I saw before my eyes

he who would not tell me lies

Opened door to easy chat

with him, comfort as living fact

confirmed my view of him in act

in my heart a firm impact

Ask for favors and he complies

his attention, my goal realized

and finally, I am not only

one alone, lonely, lonely

Ever in life to lonely life sown

as were the years that fast have flown

I pray this works, no longer alone

him with me as life is known

My Hopes

Dreamed were thoughts of loving care

caresses in numbers plus to spare

comforts for my form and soul

with a man to know me free and whole

one to see and go judgment free

believing in the me that’s me

without the need to make me over

or change me from my breed of clover

or the flow that I am

Him, Finding

Across the sea and at a distance

was a man with great resistance

to change

He was stuck inside his frame

himself responsible and who he blamed

for his loneliness

I to see something special

in his face, in his words something to feel

him true, real

I to realize, looking deeply into his eyes

that a match between to realize

I must try

Effort first to open door to more

then to test and settle score

and rate him high

New, become my efforts to

make him mine through and through

ever

And here I am, full realizing

he becoming mine, starting to love, a thrive

I, him, finding

Us Becoming We

He has doubts, he has fears

he has suffered lifelong spears

of others and self-inflicted jeers

him not full recovering through tears

With me to do all to ease

to encourage him with easy tease

to reach beyond what hell he won

and step again out in the Sun

In time, slow time, our thoughts align

to allow an opening, a good refine

from the place he was then-time

and bring him fore, to form our sign

He to relax in course of time

then his eyes to rest, then to find

the me that’s me in precious time

begin, our beginning, the us to find

Us becoming us as move through time

his heart to mine, I’m happy to find

as life for each to realign

The us that we are, becoming “WE” in time

Hearts Align

Us apart by distance still

and having climbed great effort’s hill

our hearts to reach accord

as time, and grace, have moved for’d

Stretch our hands across the waters

as our needs are getting hotter

our heart begin to pine

as our hearts align

He the man for me

and I his wife to be

as soon, across the sea

we will be holding hands

And ever be

Where Spirits Nest

Although we are apart in space

there is a common resting place

where our spirits nest

found us comfort that is best

The very best I have ever known

this space and time as has been sewn

as together by chance our lives are thrown

and now my need is to him going

I am not sure how to make this change

to return to the West once again

but in his arms there is no restrain

yet it’s the how which wracks my brain

And though I have my “all” right here

friends and puppy I hold quite dear

and uprooted life I still to fear

in his arms fear to wash away clear

And so I urge his helping hands

not to leave me hear a-strand

as seek the means of travel lands

so in the end we’re holding hands

Yet Unsung

The song my heart, it longs to hear

to sound of his heart beating near

the sound of lust in interplay

sweet the shower after play

The sound of foreplay in the dark

bed springs sounding loud and stark

our moans and groans as excitement rise

the afterglow in each other’s eyes

And though it is not yet near

the chance to hold our lover’s near

yet these sounds in mind appear

in the yet unsung song I still find cheer

Suddenly, so Suddenly

Yesterday his words across my screen to play

with words of caring said in play

words that eased my troubled way

made it easy to walk my day

My heart to sing when he is near

on social network to appear

there to fill the hole in my life

bring sad heart back alive

Today a different coming way

where he’s not here at all today

he must be off, or trouble come

keep away his light, his shining Sun

Day on day as time moves fore

he seems not here, and I am sore

worried, angry, and then depressed

my life to become a troubled mess

Where once was joy to fill my time

when he was here and on my lines

it is tears that now I find

along with concerned and worried mind

And weeks to turn into a month

and months to follow, to be blunt

I try to restore my life-balance

to find my feet, a stable stance

Yet in my mind, my heart to find

hope, ever hope is there to find

he will not ease or leave my mind

in this my heart and mind align

Ho, ho, Hopeful

It was Christmas, and I to fear

yet hopeful he again appear

with cheer to restore

of this I need more

He’s been away so very long

and all I have left is dreamed lustful song

my heart will just not let this go

heartbroken, yet I want him to know

I love him still, I love him so

and for all he’s gone, it seems to grow

How can this be, why does it stay?

How do I live with him away?”

Santa Clause to say “Ho, ho!

and in his bag a ton of hope

Along with yards of binding rope

to tie me firm to love’s true hope

Help for Seeking

Monique, I must seek, my helping friend

to recover this man I need at end

I have cried on her shoulder at times

expressing my fears a-mind

Ask of her, I am inclined

have her reach out to him, a sign

In the past they in discussion

about our lives and his intention

She once was worried he’d trouble be

for her friend, that person, me

Her to become satisfied,

his words were not a planning’s lie

But now that he’s gone and trust has failed

since he’s gone, and off he’s sailed

To a fate that is not known

left to wonder each, “Was love sown?”

Or just an act, a falsified fact

set to injure, a harsh impact

Upon this heart inside me

wishing so much to be in love’s spree

Word to be sent on oldest lines

hoping then an “in” to find

Wait again, each giving time

waiting, waiting, hope to find

A crack through which to open door

true discover what happened, more

last hope on Monique to rest

she’s the one who does her best

And still we wait

days three upon our plate

A Question’s Phrase

A day had passed and then come three

Monique wondering if answer come free

to tell of what had come to be

between her, her friend’s love to be

Patience thin, as would expect to be

getting thinner as days fall free

away, no answering be

no phrase from across the sea

Then, at once, a query found

Are you there?” if spoken, a fearful sound

his words have doubt, as if to try

to pass on by some hurtful lie

Monique to measure what she sees

not hopeful any longer, but pleased

to have words come, her friend to ease

test she must to again entrust

My heart to words that could be only lust

not true love, it’s trust or bust

and Monique to send him on his way

no more injuries to come friends way
