After it was over I found out that Janessa was actually on Tyler’s team but they had captured her and turned her into a “warrior”She played no other role in it than as a way to stop me from getting to Chase….As it Turned out, Tyler was Janessa’s Fiance.He went there to find her, it was just a happy coincidence that Chase and I were there.
After they recuperated,we wasted no time hunting down the heads of everyone involved in the “warrior Project” and anyone who was in on the betting.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you.”
“Tyler, it’s in the past. I’m happy for you for moving on”
“bullshit, you thought I was dead and had no closure then you realize that I’m still alive, but engaged.”
“Megan” Tyler looked at me with a sharp glance
“I’m sorry. I never meant to hurt you, I never saw me falling in love with anyone but you.”
I shook it off nonchalantly and walked away with tears in my eyes. It’s par for the course, you don’t fall in love with anyone when you do what we do, and IF you do - you understand that Love is often a casualty of war.
“I gotta get back to Chase.” I said and left the room. Tyler and I never mentioned our past or the emotions from the past, again.
