Chapter 7

Margaret!

Looking through the debris, Joshua discovered more broken picture frames. Some with the woman with him and some alone. Brushing the wet clothing aside, he found a small picture with him and the woman with their arms around each other's waist. In his other hand, he noticed in the picture that he was holding a bible.

Joshua looked up from the picture and scanned the wreckage again. He now realized that Margaret, the woman in the pictures, had to be the woman's name inside his wedding band. Joshua began to feel like the wreck was the reason he was stranded. And Margaret, his Margaret, was lost just as he was. He put the picture in his pocket, stood up, and began to walk the sand again. "Margaret! Margaret!" He called out to the woman he believed was his wife, but started to feel pain in his head as he yelled louder and louder.

As Joshua walked he found a black book with a cross on it. Some of the pages were missing and some were damaged by water and sand. Joshua picked up the bible. But before opening it, he closed his eyes and sat in the sand rubbing his temple trying to soothe his headache. He opened his eyes, dusted the sand off the bible, and opened the cover.

Inside the bible the words read: "Congratulations sweetheart! You did it! I love you so much, Margaret." Joshua stood to his feet holding the bible open. "Margaret. Where are you sweetheart? Please God, help me find her." Joshua closed the bible and began walking the sand again. "Margaret! Margaret!"
