Shardoe was losing his mind. After giving orders to Brurock to hunt them down, he left for Erafla. He sat on the throne, angry at the fact that another Piskal was a master. When he was Lannyre, his mentor was a Piskal master, and that was the only one he could tolerate. This changed things. He thought he was so close to achieving his goal. He sat there stewing until he yelled for a soldier. The soldier came in cautiously, everyone was walking on eggshells.
“Bring me Meshna,” Shardoe ordered. The soldier left quickly, and when he returned, he brought two other soldiers who were dragging Meshna. He was beaten heavily and was barely conscious. They slammed him on the floor, and he just lay there breathing heavily.
“Tell me, Meshna, where is Frayusha?” Shardoe said. Meshna got up on his knees, scared for his life. Shardoe started to smile and asked him one more time. Meshna just shook his head. This irritated Shardoe, and he erupted by slowly taking the water out of Meshna. Screams could be heard echoing throughout the hall. Shardoe was loving this; he started to chuckle as Meshna begged him to stop. He obliged and asked him again.
“I don’t know, please,” Meshna pleaded. This time, Shardoe started to warm up the water in Meshna’s body. He started to itch and rub his arms; his breath became heavier. Then the screams began again.
“Tell me where she is!” Shardoe yelled. Steam could be seen coming off Meshna’s body.
“She went to the Piskal people!” Meshna screamed. Shardoe halted, thinking what this means. The Porpura people were not accepting him as he wanted. He needed Frayusha, but once she learned the truth about him, that would be problematic.
“Tell me, how does she know where to go?” Shardoe asked. Meshna was reluctant until Shardoe started heating up his water again.
“The caravans!” Meshna yelled out. Shardoe smiled at this. He then sent Meshna away; he had plans for him. A soldier remained, waiting for Shardoe to give him orders. Shardoe sat there contemplating what his next move would be.
“Get the army ready, we are going to Fusal,” Shardoe said. The soldier was confused.
“What are we going to do?” the soldier asked. Shardoe smiled and made a water knife. He thrusted it into a pillar.
“We are going to destroy them,” He said. The soldier shifted on his feet.
“How will we know where to go?” The soldier asked. This made Shardoe smile.
“Get me the drivers of the caravan that goes to Fusal,” Shardoe said. The soldier bowed and turned to leave. Shardoe sat there, throwing water blades at the pillar, thinking about how nothing would stop him from getting his revenge.
