They came out of the puddle in the middle of the forest. They all were trying to get their senses back after that crazy ride. Lunae quickly regained herself, and Fulch looked happy that he didn’t throw up water anymore. Narutay was having difficulties; he was holding onto the ground. Lunae looked around, realizing that they were not in the encampment. She looked at Fulch, who also seemed confused.
“Why aren’t we there?” Lunae asked, while glancing around. Fulch looked as well and then turned his attention to Narutay.
“Narutay, can you tell where we are?” Fulch asked. Narutay slowly got up and studied what was around. He was puzzled.
“We are on the road to the Fusal, but we are off course a little bit. It seems we are close to the portals,” Narutay said. Fulch was curious, and Lunae was confused.
“What portals?” Lunae said. Narutay then realized how inexperienced she was.
“The portals to the other worlds. They are but a few yards that way,” Narutay said while pointing to the south. Lunae looked confused. She looked to the south and wanted to see the portals.
“There has to be a reason we were sent here,” Fulch said. This brought Lunae back to reality.
“The water must want us to do something here,” Lunae said. They all looked around, hoping to find some answers. That’s when they heard the screams.
“It sounds like they’re coming from over that hill,” Narutay said. They all rushed over the hill when they came upon the Rhudon camp. They dropped down to the ground, hoping that they weren’t seen. Rhudons were everywhere, laughing as they watched the Piskals getting tortured. Then they saw Shardoe taking the water out of Hashmire.
“We need to stop him,” Fulch said. Narutay was in agreement. Fulch gave Narutay his sword; Lunae was apprehensive.
“We shouldn’t let him see,” Lunae said. Fulch was thinking to himself and decided to take the risk.
“We have to, these are my people, I have to save them!” Fulch said. Lunae nodded in agreement. They slowly made their way to the camp, luckily not being seen. Right before they decided to strike, Lunae had one more thing she wanted to say.
“Try and keep it hidden as long as possible,” she said to Fulch. He nodded his head, and they rushed the camp. Narutay struck down a Rhudon, and that’s when they all rallied. Lunae then used a wall of water to push everyone back. All that is except for Shardoe, who fought back against it. Lunae then immediately started taking his water. He grimaced in pain, but that was all. He then started to take her water, and she fell to the ground. That’s when Fulch made a water blade and shot it at Shardoe. It struck him in his shoulder, releasing Lunae. Shardoe was shocked and enraged by the new revelation.
“Kill the priest!” Shardoe yelled. Brurock came rushing towards Hashmire, ready to kill him. That’s when Fulch started taking his water; this made Brurock yell in pain. By this time, the Rhudons were already back. Lunae started to conjure up a new water wall, and Shardoe started to take her water again.
“Fulch, help me!” Lunae screamed. Fulch started to take his water and Brurocks at the same time, resulting in him taking a knee.
“Lunae! I can’t hold on for much longer!” Fulch said. Lunae knew she had to be quick. She sent another wave crashing the Rhudons into one another and forcing them back. Shardoe was still fighting against it, but was having a harder time.
“Narutay! Free the prisoners!” Fulch yelled out. Narutay then went to the cages and broke the locks, and all six ran to Tanla and Hashmire, trying to get the nails out of them. They were having a hard time, so they yelled to Fulch for help. Lunae saw this and took over, taking the water of Brurock and Shardoe. The strain it put on her was immense as she then took a knee. Shardoe then started to take Fulch’s water, and Fulch sent another water blade to him, piercing him in the chest, which made him fall to the ground, but did not kill him. Fulch ran up to them and realized why they were having such a hard time. Brurock started to laugh while yelling in pain. Fulch grabbed a nail and tried to pull it out, but wasn’t having any luck.
“You must use your magic!” Hashmire said, Fulch didn’t know how to do that, and he tried but was failing.
“I can’t do it!” Fulch yelled. At that moment, the water chose to speak to Lunae.
“Use your magic,” it said. Lunae, without thinking, let go of Shardoe and Brurock and raced towards them. Brurock then went straight for Fulch, and Narutay jumped in and slashed Brurock through the chest, but he did not fall. He then roared, grabbed a knife, and went for Narutay. As they were fighting, Lunae ran up to the people and just wished the nails were in her hand, and then they came rushing towards her. Fulch smiled, and they helped Tanla and Hashmire down. The rest of the Piskals took over and helped them into the woods. Shardoe was getting up and started to grab Lunae’s and Fulch’s water. Fulch thought it didn’t feel as bad as the first time, so he started to make a wall of water and push it towards Shardoe. This time, he was unprepared, and it carried him far, releasing them from his pull. Lunae then sent a water blade to Brurock, and he fell to the ground.
“We need to finish him!” Narutay said as he was going to strike Brurock, but the Rhudonians were on their way back, and Lunae and Fulch were exhausted.
“We need to go!” Lunae said as she conjured up another water wall.
“Fulch! Help me!” Lunae said as she started to fade. Fulch came up beside her and helped build the wall, and they told Narutay to get out of there. He was hesitant but decided to listen. Once Narutay was out of the way, they sent another wall, and this time pushed it as far as they could. They both fell to their knees, and Narutay then came back to them and helped them up. Once they got up, they ran towards the others. They quickly came upon them as they were moving very slowly. This was a problem, and they didn’t know where to go next.
“We need to get them to safety,” Fulch said. Lunae pulled out her pitcher.
“There are too many of them; we all can’t go through the puddle,” Fulch said. Lunae didn’t know what to do; she looked at the Piskalians to see that they were in no condition to keep running.
“The portals! We can use them, I just don’t know where to go,” Narutay said. This made Fulch think.
“We need to go to the Signuck planet, do you know which one that is?” Fulch said. Narutay nodded, and they all headed towards them. It took some time, but they did reach them with no incidents. There were many portals. The gates were gold with swirling water in them. Gems were on some of them, and others had different things on them to explain which land they went to.
“Which one to the Signuck planet?” Lunae said. Narutay took them a little farther past the portals to one that stood there, old, and it was made of silver. They all walked in. This time, it didn’t feel like she was on a bruka; it felt as if you walked through a piece of cold silk. Lunae looked around to find that they were on a desolate planet. Ruins everywhere, she wondered what this world would have been like centuries ago, the last time she was here.
“Welcome home,” Fulch said to Lunae. She smiled at him, and they all sat there regaining their strength.
