They made it to a cheap motel on the edge of Kansas. The Town Car had overheated and left them stranded on the road side. Steam was billowing from under the raised hood. Shay had fed off of the man who pulled over to help them, upsetting Lillith, but they did need a vehicle and the single cab truck had gotten them the 10 miles to the motel before sunrise. Lillith had demanded her own room, not that they needed to pay for them. She had simply gone into the office and asked nicely for 2 room keys. It was all the 19 year old kid behind the counter could take. Simply handing over the keys, and the brief hand contact with Lilith. He actually fainted when she winked at him and told him, “Thanks handsome.” Perhaps she had turned the charm on a bit too high? She was sure he should be fine in a few hours, and judging by the huge smile on his unconscious face, she wasn't too worried about him. She had given Shay and Sĕigo one key then gone to her own room and showered the smell of the car away. Lillith couldn't care about what Sĕigo and Shay were doing, she needed out of the car and at least a night or two in an actual bed. She wasn't sure if The Eater Of Souls would be able to tell she was lying about the location or not. In theory if Sĕigo was so powerful, he could have done the location spell himself if he had any doubts about her loyalty. She had made sure the car overheated and completely roasted the battery and oil. Her hope was to catch Shay out in the sunlight and then offer to “Go for help” Leaving him in the trunk. Unfortunately, that poor farmer had pulled up just moments after they pulled off the road and popped the hood. Now she needed to decide if she was going to stay with them or snag a car from the parking lot and head her own way all together. If she did that, Sĕigo and Shay would likely suspect a double cross and check the tracking spell. If she stayed with them, as soon as they got to the cave it was likely that beast would know anyway.

Shay and Sĕigo sat in the small room, two twin beds crammed between a nightstand and a small mini fridge. Once they had covered the windows in tinfoil they decided it was time to talk about Lilith. The TV was on for the noise as they both sat at the foot of their own beds. “The Enchantress is weak, I do not believe her heart is in this any more.” Said Sĕigo. Shay had never really liked her and she had turned down his multiple advances. She didn't even seem flattered by them and he was a God among men, *and* the right hand of The Dark Pope himself! Sure she was upset over Tobias leaving her but that seemed to have worn thin. His anger and hatred had only blossomed and grown with time. He would take down The Order and make sure each of them paid for the parts they played in stopping his former master's plans. Even the plague had fizzled somehow, Hell the mainstream media was even calling it a “Miracle” now. With Sĕigo and The Eater Of Souls at his side they would be on top again and fulfill his former master's vision. A large majority of the damned were still waiting and ready to come out on top. The networks and communications systems were all still there, and he had promised them vengeance. Sĕigo was incredibly powerful and The Eater Of Souls had granted him a taste of the power he could have when they were able to conquer the world. It was time to come out of the shadows. “I don't like the uppity bitch either but she is able to do things in daylight and get us places unnoticed. Do you really think The Order is making a move this soon? How could they know to target our master?” Shay asked, as he sniffed the shirt Lillith had brought back. “There is one way to make sure she is telling the truth.” Sĕigo answerd reaching for the shirt.

Angiola and I were standing, hands joined, on top of the roof at The Order compound. Simon was standing in front of us and Reginald, Thomas and Philip stood a few steps behind us. Some of the staff had come up and joined the ceremony too. It was a small yet quaint event. I had butterflies in my stomach and was smiling so big my cheeks were sore. We were dressed casually, I was in blue jeans and a solid black button down. Angiola was wearing a simple white sundress with her hair pinned up.  “Do you Tobias, take this woman to be yours, forever?” Simon asked me the words I never thought I would hear. I looked over at my bride. She was wonderful and my heart was pounding in my chest. “I do, Forever.” Angiola smiled and quickly wiped a tear away from one eye. “Do you Angiola, Take this man to be yours forever?” I felt like I was going to black out, the momentary pause before she answered “I do, Forever.” We kissed and that was the end of the ceremony. The wedding band she had slipped onto my finger had the word FOREVER engraved inside of it. I was shocked when I saw it, because when I ran out to get a wedding ring to match the engagement ring that was my mothers, I had the exact same word engraved in it. Some things are just meant to be. It was a small and personal ceremony but I couldn't imagine it any other way. All the people in both our lives were here and that was what mattered. I wish I could have gone home to grab Mouse really quick, perhaps he could have been the ring barrier? Then again, I'm sure having him running around the compound causing trouble is the last thing we needed.  Thomas had brought a bottle of champagne and we toasted the union, raising a glass before getting back to work. We danced our first dance as husband and wife there on the rooftop to Lynard Skynard’s classic “I Need You”. We would have to fly to New York soon, and get the museum heist started.

We were on our honeymoon in more ways than one. The private jet and hotel reservations in New York were in our new married names, under false identities provided through The Order.  We would be spending up to a week in the city. The plan was to land, get checked into the hotel and go visit the museum in the morning, just to make sure there wasn't anything we may have missed. Reginald combed through all the data he could find about the MET but the reality on the ground can be different when pulling off something like this. As long as there wasn't anything that would completely ruin the plan, I would sneak back in just after closing and start the heist. I couldn't believe I was on my honeymoon, and on an opp but I guess the lives we live wouldn't have it any other way. We both loved each other as well as the job so why not run a heist at the same time? The jet taxied and we were greeted at the runway by a black limo. Whatever strings the church pulled were amazing. An official stamped our passports and welcomed us home. According to the paperwork we had just gotten married in Rome and were going to honeymoon in New York for a week before returning home to Florida. Our bags, including much of the gear we would be using for the heist got loaded into the trunk without a second glance. As we cruised down the streets of New york city it was amazing to take everything in. Angiola had never been here, and I hadn't been here in close to 100 years. Lots had changed and almost as much had stayed the same in some ways. Then again, that could be said about a lot of things over the years. We got to The Wallace hotel and were shown to our suite. We needed room to work and it was our honeymoon after all. The Wallace was only a mile away from the Metropolitan museum, and the room was absolutely breathtaking. The view wasn't that much but we had a king size bed, a jacuzzi tub in the floor to ceiling marble bathroom and a nice seating area. I carried Angiola across the threshold, the staff rolling a cart behind us with our luggage. Once they left... It was our honeymoon after all.
