It was very likely that Reginald was correct and they would be heading for my house. Thankfully we could travel MUCH quicker than they could. I had to get Mouse out of the house and we could hopefully lay an ambush in before they got there. Angiola was planning on staying behind because She hadn't been trained on how to travel. She was also monitoring the local police and sheriff radio in case the trio caused any trouble to bring me out to them. We figured if she was supposed to be there, she would just show up anyways... At least that's how things had been going lately. It seemed like training, probability and odds went right out the window when the two of us were involved. Knowing we were dealing with a Lich I grabbed a few extra toys. Once we got to my home, and I made sure Mouse was okay, we got set up.

My neighbor across the street was a great guy. He was an amazing cook and would bring me a plate frequently when I was home. He was a happy drunk and would frequently shout his “catchphrase”, Born to be KYYYyle, to the tune of "born to be wild" at the top of his lungs any time he saw me outside… Wildly off key and at the top of his lunges. It made him happy and that was really all that was needed to get me to smile as well.  I still have no clue why he did this. Thankfully it was pretty simple to get him out of his house. “Hey, I won a weekend at the hard rock casino and a bottomless bar, but I have to work... Think you could go? I hate to waste it.”  Followed by “No way man, that's awesome! I'm outta here! BOOOrrrRRRNNNN to beeee KKkkyyyyyyyllle!!!!” Followed by him grabbing the keys off the coffee table, running to his Saturn 4 door and leaving rubber on the driveway, exiting onto Longfellow Blvd. Reginald and Simon were set up on the back of my roof to ambush them when they showed up. Thomas and Philip were across the street, at Kyle's house, ready to flank them and cut off escape. We REALLY didn't want to blow up the neighborhood, but it was a Lich so options were pretty slim. Not knowing what direction they would come from there was no way of ambushing them anywhere secluded. We were not expecting what happened next!

The Town Car pulled up behind my Jeep and parked, then Lillith got out. The rest of the vehicle appeared empty and the sun was out, but that meant absolutely nothing to the Lich. I got up and stood next to the door holding the clacker for the claymore in the bushes. Claymore in the bushes? We had done a bit of remodeling once we saw we had gotten there in time to lay in an ambush. The soffits surrounding the house had been stuffed with water balloons that were filled with holy water. One shot would rain down holy water. We had claymores in multiple positions around the home hidden in bushes. The claymores were of our own design and instead of the M57 standard of FRONT TOWARD ENEMY on the molded plate, ours was a thin sheet of silver that would coat the steel balls as they exited. Knowing we may have to deal with a Lich... There may have been a few more tricks but we won't get into that. I would rather not get into what I may or may not have stashed at my house... There was an unassuming knock on my door followed by, “Tobias, are you home? It's Lillith, we NEED to talk.” I opened the door a bit confused. She threw her arms around me and I tensed up ready for a fight. She embraced me warmly then kissed my cheek. “I hoped you would be home. I'm so glad to see you. Can we go inside and talk?” I wasn't expecting this at all but perhaps with our history she figured she could seduce me as a distraction while the Lich did his part. “We can talk here.” I told her, gesturing to the chairs on my porch. I sat down next to her, leaving my front door cracked open so I could get back in past the threshold at a moment's notice. She pouted a bit then sat down. “Don't you miss me at all? Why are you being so distant? I've really missed you… I was hoping we could get back together? Or at least have a bit of fun while I'm here?” She was definitely trying for some angle I couldn’t see. “Things have changed… a lot since we separated. Angiola is alive, I just found that out myself a few days ago. Turns out the dreams I was having were true. We are together at last, this time for good. I also know you're not here alone. You have been traveling with The Dark Pope's second in command and what we believe to be a Lich... ” She didn't look surprised to hear Angiola was still alive, or that we knew about her traveling companions. “You saw a video of them going across I-40 right? Shay, that's the Vamp and Sĕigo, your right he is a Lich, took back roads the entire trip. Shay stayed in the trunk in the daylight hours and Sĕigo drove most days. I finally convinced them to let me drive and hopped on the interstate. The Baba Yaga told me where to find them. She sent Shay to find the Lich and his master too. She also told me that your girl was alive so I figured she would have popped up and told you about Shay. I figured if you were back with The Order or even solo you would be looking for him. I made a big scene at the gas station hoping it would at least end up online and you would find it. I was... Upset at first. You are an amazing man and I could feel your love and loss and... I just wanted that. I miss being loved. Either way you don't deserve what they have planned, they want to take out The Order then pick up where Shay's boss left off. The thing they serve now... Sĕigo called it The Eater Of Souls. It's scary, old and crazy powerful. It was here when dinosaurs were walking around”... She trailed off. I didn't understand why she was telling me all this. I had never heard of an Eater Of Souls before, but it sounded bad especially if it was as old as she was saying.

Mouse here: Lillith came over after Tobias got home. I think she wanted to make up but Angiola is back so too late! Plus she made him really sad when she left. He was hurting and she just left him. I snuck out and pooped in her car! Hahahahhh! Shouldn't be mean to my human!

We talked for a bit longer, Lillith offering to low key help us out. She gave me her phone number and said she would message me with any updates. She explained that Shay and Sĕigo had plans of capturing me or Angiola and drawing out the elders or more of The Order, then attacking. I didn't want them attacking my home or my neighborhood and Lakeland had more than enough going on supernaturally without them here. I gave her an old shirt so they could “track me” and she would say I wasn't home. It wouldn't be the first time something evil tried to track us and we had plenty of wards against almost all methods. Without some of my blood, they wouldn't get far.  Lillith tried a few more times to get “back together” before leaving. I didn't tell her about the engagement because I didn't want her to change her mind about helping us. She did give me a very... Long and passionate kiss goodbye, I guess as a final attempt to sway me. She waved goodbye then got back into the town car. When she sat down she screamed and shrieked at the top of her lungs. I ran over to see what was wrong and could smell what happened through the open windows. “Did you just... What happened?” I asked her, trying to hold back a laugh. “I just sat in a big steamy pile of shit!” She yelled back at me. I went back inside, grabbed some supplies, then back out to give her a roll of paper towels and some wet wipes before sending her on her way. There was NO chance I was going to let her inside to “clean up” because she would have a perfectly good reason to take off her soiled clothes. It was hard enough to say NO to an Enchantress fully clothed. Naked... I didn't think I could manage. I'm pretty sure Mouse snuck out, hopped in through the open window and left that mess for her to sit in. Why do I suspect Mouse? Well, the leather seat was absolutely shredded and I recognised his handiwork.. Ahhh gotta love Mouse...
