Long before the Silver Spine Forest earned its name, a great dragon fell from the sky and reshaped the land with its death. Its bones became ridges, its blood hardened into iron, and strange veins of silver spread through the stone. Over centuries, the forest grew around the ancient wound, hiding secrets that scholars, thieves, and travelers sought but rarely understood.

Deep beneath the roots and bones, something left behind by the dragon waits in a state between memory and sleep. The mountain hums, streams run unnaturally cold, and old places seem to listen. Those who enter the forest seeking treasure often vanish, unable to read the warnings written in stone and silence.

The first to truly hear the mountain is Gut, a small goblin exiled from his tribe for being kind, curious, and different. While others fear the unknown or seek only riches, Gut studies the silver seams, listens to the humming stones, and patiently learns the hidden language of the land.

When the ancient presence beneath the Silver Spine begins to stir, Gut realizes that his curiosity may have awakened something forgotten. As the forest shifts and the mountain starts to answer, the unlikely goblin must uncover the truth of the fallen dragon before the first whispers beneath the earth become a roar.
