Koriath's soul is still not free, and with a war-weary people and an elder council distracted by the Princesses of Darkness' becoming of age; he turns to Hokulani for aid fending off against the Realm of Light's genocide campaign, while he tries to save his daughters from the same politics that put Malencia in power, and knocking at their plane's shield barriers.
While Koriath gathers old allies, Malencia secures new ones as well as maintains closeness to Evil Incarnate. She will stop at nothing to get back her only victim who has managed to escape. He has more than his soul and his empire to lose if he fails.
Dear Reader,
Like book one, this one tackles equally dark and tragic themes, though not all will be the same. Some of the content to be warned on is violence of religion, lust, and war, heavy alcohol use, villains who draw parallels to horrible historic and present day campaigns, and more. Reader discretion is advised.
On the positive side, to balance there are two romance subplots, and my hope is this ends as a cathartic or fulfilling release of emotions and thoughts. I am also working on genre blending both fantasy and science fiction, as the light tends to be science and the magic tends to be darkness. Speaking of thoughts, speak up anytime and let me know your thoughts. Readers have the power to create meaningful change before things are published.
Enjoy.
