Chapter 28

Ending Update

Dear Reader,

It has been an incredible journey with you by my side, a journey that will continue, this I promise.
My sincerest apologies for not having updated the next chapter by now, however it is on the way. While On Darkness is meant to be a series, I do fear and wish to prepare settling for a one shot. So with that, I want to bring you the best story that I can.

A story that keeps you at the edge of your seat, that makes you cry, or makes you so infuriated that if this was a physical copy, you would throw the book down. Then we pair that dark release into his soft lull that draws you back. When you resume from your processing, or if you binge, or finish out of spite, I hope that when you find this ending, you get that cathartic release as promised.

We are all a sovereign in our own right, we all bare our crowns, fly on our own wings, and have survived one nightmare or several others. May this ending to come balance a little light in the darkness, while still respecting the themes and horrors presented.

If you have any hopes or wishes for this tale, leave your words so they may reach my heart. Like that one song says: "I'm just trying to do the next right thing."

 ~~~
That was the original note above, and I have another update. I allowed fear to govern my work, it happens to all of us.
To see The Black Lotus bloom fully, for the Dark Shepherd to fight theives in the night with his staff, requires at least part two.
Professionally if Koriath's story makes it in the trad publishing route and I must change the ending, I will do so as asked. Here on Readerful however, this Black Lotus has only begun to rise.
