Lolo's Womb

This story is based on my Gran's experience as a young girl. She longed to have a child, yet her body refused to allow itself to carry a baby full term. It was as if her body was at war with nature and her body could not survive the battle. So when another young woman shows up at Gran's home, pleading for the life of her unborn child, this request sets the stage for the unlikely friendship of two women, brought together by the love of a child and a loss so profound that one is left to question everything.
