Alex has his sister's Barbie hanging from his doorknob. A shoelace acts as a noose. His sister, Jessica, freaks out. ''Mom,'' she whines. ''Alex is hanging my Barbie doll!''
''Let him play the way he wants to,'' Mom says. ''He's not hurting your doll.''
Jessica puffs out her cheeks, and her lower lip trembles. ''You look like a puffer fish when you do that,'' Alex says.
Jessica turns on her heels and stomps out of the room. He has his Gi Joechastisee the dead girl. ''You are a traitor and therefore will be executed,'' Gi Joe says.
The Barbie doll continues hanging with a smile on her face. Her eyes stare vacantly. Gi Joe holds a big rifle. He is a blonde guy with a crewcut. Alex takes the Barbie doll down and is now pretending she is a ghost. He has a camera set up on a tripod and presses play. He starts filming.
''You killed me,'' Barbie says. ''And now you must be punished.''
''I was just following orders,'' Gi Joe says.
''Save your excuses,'' Barbie says. Now he hangs the GI Joe.
Jessica comes back in. ''My doll,'' she says, picking up Barbie.
''You can take your ghost now,'' Alex says.
''She's not a ghost,'' Jessica protests.
''She died by hanging,'' Alex insists.
''she's alive,'' Jessica protests. ''That was just a game.''
''You can't fake hanging,'' Alex insists. ''She's dead.''
''You're impossible,'' Jessica says, slamming the door shut.
The ghost pops out of the closet. He is blue and looks angry. ''You shouldn't pick on your sister,'' the ghost hisses.
Alex screams, and the ghost clamps his hand over the boy's mouth. ''Quiet or I'll cut your tongue,'' the ghost threatens.
''What do you want with me?" Alex asks.
''I want you to be nicer to your sister,'' the ghost says.
''Okay,'' Alex says. ''I'll be nicer to her.''
''How can I be sure?'' The ghost says, folding his arms across his ghostly chest.
''I promise,'' Alex says.
The ghost rubs his chin. ''Are you going to borrow your sister's Barbie for your films without asking her and not hang it when it upsets your sister?''
I swear,'' Alex says, crossing his heart.
The ghost grips Alex's chin and stares right into the boy's eyes. ''How can I be sure?'' The ghost asks.
''What do you want me to do to prove it to you?'' Alex asks.
He makes the clothes fly from the closet and fly and dance as a terrified Alex looks on.
They walk across the floor as if someone is wearing them. '"Why are you doing this?'' The boy says.
''Because i can,'' the ghost says.
''In walks Jessica, and her eyes widen. She looks and sees that her brother is terrified. leave my brother alone!'' She screams.
A portal opens up, and both kids grab hold of the bed and hang on for dear life. Things are being sucked into the portal, and lamps and clothes and shoes fly in, and the kids hold for dear life.
''I'm sorry I upset you,'' Alex cries. ''I should have asked to use your doll, and I shouldn't have hung it when I saw how bad it upset you,'' Alex whines.
''I forgive you,'' she says. ''You were just shooting a movie. ''You are just being creative, like mom says. ''I forgive you.''
''I love you,'' alex says.
''I love you too,'' Jessica says back.
The portal closes,s and the ghost vanishes, es and Alex and Jessica hug and cry. ''I'll never be mean to you again,'' Alex says.
'"Ditto,'' Jessiac a says, '' and I will never whine or pout again!''
