A Room With a View
While vacationing in Florence, Lucy Honeychurch meets the unconventional, free-spirited George Emerson, who passionately kisses her in a field of violets. Confused by her sudden feelings, Lucy flees back to her restrictive Edwardian society in England and accepts a marriage proposal from the snobbish, intellectual Cecil Vyse. Unexpectedly, George and his father move into Lucy's neighborhood, forcing her to confront the stifling nature of her engagement. She eventually breaks off her engagement to Cecil but continues to deny her love for George due to social expectations. After a wise intervention by George's father, Lucy embraces her true feelings, marries George, and returns to Florence.
